  • Awesome turn out, and very cool that you were able to adapt to suit the need. Your friend must be thrilled with these tables!

  • Beautiful! Great idea to give an old door a new purpose. The top molding elements look just right.

  • Thanks Ryobi Nation. The moldings were the hardest part. I am still learning the miter cuts, but practice makes perfect. ;)

  • Measurements/ cut list?
    By tom5949, on January 6, 2017
    • Measurements can vary based on how long you want it to be. For my wife I made it approximately 4ft long, and the height to the top of the table is 43". The front legs are the frames of the broken down pallets, while the legs in the backs are cut 2x4s (cut to desired height of back wall/top shelf). The frame for the bottom shelf and table top are the frames of the pallets as well. Cut to the desired depth/height of table. The top of the table runs left to right so you'll need to find larger pallets (I was lucky a local company gets them in every so often). Otherwise the top of your table should run front to back like I did on the bottom shelf. The slabs on the bottom shelf, the table top, and the back wall are all pallet wood pieces. The easiest way to get the pieces of without breaking them in half is to saw down the inside of one of the frame pieces, then use a crowbar to pull the boards up along the remaining framework. There is a video on YouTube that shows a technique. The guy there cut both ends, then only having to pull out the middle of the pallet. I choose to cut one end as to save as much of the pallet wood pieces as I could.
