  • This is an amazing piece of work! This is something that will last for decades to come. Is this the first time you've made a train table?

    • Yep, first time. Thank you for the compliment. Excited to see the look on my boys faces Christmas morning.

  • Great update here. And what a great idea to use the space under the stairs for storage! Very nice work.

  • These turned out beautifully! What a great solution. It looks like you can easily configure the layout to suit your needs, too. Looks like you built the deck itself as well! Very nice work.

  • Please move all your benches at least 2 feet away from both railings, until your youngest child is 12 years old.. Kids often climb up and fall over (your deck looks high, so very very dangerous). Maybe put benches agains house.
By LarrywMills, on January 5, 2017

  • This design is amazing! The in-laid X pattern is absolutely striking, and the exposed lag bolts give it a really nice industrial touch. Awesome, awesome work!

    • Thank you! It turned out better than I expected. I'm glad you like it.

  • Another unique and beautiful design. Both this and the farmhouse bed really show off your creativity. The alternating end grain pattern here looks so cool!
By RYOBI Nation, on December 12, 2016

  • Nice job of keeping it aligned during the glue up. Did you use dowels or biscuits to help.

  • OMGGGGG I love the "bust your toes" name you gave to Jinga! I tried to get my husband to make this for our family function. He remarked "wouldn't that hurt?" ha ha ha ?:0)

  • Awesome! That's a great idea to have a pre-made kit, ready to assemble. Hope you'll share the finished product!
