  • Amazingly realistic. How big are they? I love your orange wood. What is that?
    By slacer_87688, on December 21, 2016

  • Thanks. I really enjoy as they come together. This one is about 5.25" long. The orange looking wood is Padauk. I believe it's an African wood.

  • So neat! This really is so perfectly put together- the detail on such a small scale is very impressive.

    • Thanks. The hardest part was figuring out how to do the bed/slats. I tried gluing three pieces together but was not happy with the outcome. Cutting one piece, adding the cross braces, then ripping it into 3 boards was the answer. You'd be shocked how strong they are. I don't want to jinx myself but I have dropped them and the don't break.

  • I really like that you didn't just use pine. Beautiful.

  • Cut list?
    By tom5949, on January 7, 2017

  • Excellent! This is exactly what I was looking to build. Could you please provide the cut list and an approximate cost $$$?

  • I love love love this!! Do you have step by step plans that you could share, if so I would love them. I have a lot of glass and this would be a great project to recycle that glass. Amazing job.

    • Here is a link of the original plans. But we had to modify for the space we had and made adjustments for what we wanted to do to make it our own http://www.interiorfrugalista.com/2014/08/diy-patio-water-wall.html?m=1

  • I agree with rchampine, I love this project. Is it a Christmas gift? I see all the bags in the background.
By mrpip, on December 21, 2016
    • Yes. Finished just in time for Christmas :)
By Estewart, on December 21, 2016

  • Thank you so much for the link. This is definitely on my to do list!! I hope when I do that mine turns out as great as yours did! Now if you can find a wall mount one I know the perfect place in my home for that one. Maybe I can scale this one down to fit for a wall mount....the wheels are turning now. LOL :-)
