  • The desk turned out great! How large is it? It looks nice and long!
By RYOBI NATION, on August 23, 2018
    • Thank you, and yes this one is 6 1/2 ft long!

  • This is a great idea! I'm always worried that I might set something on a burner that's not cool since we don't have a lot of counter space. This seems like the perfect solution! Nice work!

    • This is on a gas range top, so its either obviously on or obviously off. I would be hesitant to put it on an electric since it's wood because it might be on. We needed something, because you're looking at about 50% of our counter top real estate now. She wants a portable island next.

  • Wonderful craftsmanship on this piece! It turned out beautifully!
By RYOBI NATION, on August 23, 2018

  • Wow the inset doors make this look amazing!
By GabbyAnder, on August 24, 2018

  • GORG!!!! in love with the stain and the design. Any chance there are plans for this anywhere? Will be redoing an entire bedroom soon
By breezyxxo, on September 5, 2018
    • Thank you!! ☺️ I actually drew up the design myself, but I just went off of my sketch and measurements and didn’t write up full plans. I need to start doing that when I make my own pieces though... The stain is Varathane Carbon Gray though 👍🏻

    • I just joined a few weeks ago so I’m in the same boat since most of my work is on Instagram, but it’s nice to have a community like this!

  • Hi really love the your work, if you don't mind me asking! What types of wood and material did you use?
    By JRTermite1, on September 5, 2018
    • Thank you! 🙏🏻 Just basic pine for a majority of this piece, and then the center of the top as well as the bottom and back panels were birch plywood. I always use Liberty soft close drawer slides (even if it feels like overkill 😂) and the pulls are by Hickory Hardware (Old Mission style).

  • These are beautiful! You should be so proud of taking on such a huge task and teaching yourself how to do it!
By RYOBI NATION, on August 23, 2018
    • Thank you very much.   I am proud.   I really like seeing others play them and getting their opinions.  Comments on the first helped me on the second.   It was a lot of fun.  Hopefully others like taking a look at the posts.

    • Thanks dude.

  • Nice attention to detail.  I really like the contrasting woods you used.  One of my first projects years ago I used purple heart as an accent.  Your's looks great!
By mrpip, on September 4, 2018
    • Thankyou!  I was really happy with the way it turned out. I was surprised how nice purple heart was to work with.  I had heard a lot about how the dust can really be irritating,  but i didn't have any issues. I bet your project looked great too. Purple heart really pops.  Thanks again for taking the time.
