  • Wow! Beautiful job and such a great use of the space. You've given them a wide variety of storage sizes. They must love it.

  • Very creative! We love the finishes and how you personalized them. Did you letter by hand or use decals? Looks awesome!

  • Very impressive! Great design, and the addition of the rod for a ladder is a very cool feature! Did you make the rod out of 2x4's?
By RYOBI Nation, on February 19, 2019
    • Thank you. With the bookcase height, a ladder seemed appropriate. The rod is just a large dow rod, store bought. The brackets which hold them in place are 1x4 hickory glued together and cut to shape. The rod goes completely through the center bracket but only half way through the end ones and glued to the bookcase.

  • Beautiful! That's a pretty thick top! How did you cut your circle?
By RYOBI Nation, on February 19, 2019
    • Used a 1x6 jig with the plunge router attached to it. Measured out the distance of the circumference of the circle, cut the appropriate length of 1x6, drilled a hole for the router bit, attached the jig to the bottom of the table, and round and round we went. The tabletop is made from 2x6s. It took about 6 passes.
