  • This is a neat idea! How did you attach the wine bottles to the wood?
By RYOBI NATION, on May 1, 2018
    • Don't know why it didn't have the materials list, I remember putting it down before. Fixed now.

  • What and fun and useful build! Being a new builder, did you run into any roadblocks when making this?
By RYOBI NATION, on May 1, 2018
    • Yes I think the biggest road block I encountered were the doors. I didn't account for the hinges
when measuring the doors, or I should say I thought I accounted for hinges but they were thicker then what I had measured. When I finally managed to screw in the hinges I tried the shut the door and the doors were about a 1/8" too tall. I was bummed but I ended up being able to sand them down so they would fit into the frame. I learned my lesson to measure twice and cut once!

    • Oh no! Well we would have never known that you had an issue with the doors! They look great!!
By RYOBI NATION, on May 1, 2018

  • That is awesome! I would have never known it was laundry. I totally need to build a few of these for my family! Great job!

  • Awesome craftsmanship on these! They look flawless! What was your favorite part of making these?
By RYOBI NATION, on May 1, 2018
    • I really enjoyed seeing the oak transform from what looked like wood destined for a burn pile to beautiful tabletops. Most of all I enjoyed seeing the excitement and smiles when we delivered them to their new home.

  • Excellent work,  they look great.

  • Beautiful build! We like the detail and the thickness of the legs. Did you modify the plans from Shanty 2 Chic at all?
By RYOBI NATION, on May 1, 2018
    • Thank you!! I modified the length of the table by adding 5 inches to the table top and runners. I also used base cap moulding and attached it on top of the base moulding. Those were my only modifications to the plans.

    • Cool! It's nice you were able to customize it to the size you needed.

    • Thank you so much.  We used black chalk paint and Briarsmoke stain.

  • What a great idea to add the command center! It looks so nice! Where is this displayed in your home?
By RYOBI NATION, on May 1, 2018
    • It hangs between our kitchen and family room.  We are a family of five and everyone uses the hooks to hang their keys.
