  • Super nice job on this! What was your favorite part of this project?
By RYOBI NATION, on July 16, 2018
    • Putting the last screw in so it was done. Ha, no, I actually liked the manual labor, I have a desk job so just being outside so much and working with my hands on it was a nice stress reliever.
      By Maverick716, on July 16, 2018
    • We know that feeling, for sure!!

    • Do the chains rub on the arms of the swing?
      By holland5949, on July 31, 2018
    • No they don't rub. I thought they might when I first saw this and considered cutting out a section for it but it wasn't necessary.
By awloe, on July 31, 2018

  • This swing is much more solid then anything I've seen at the store. It's a shame they can't offer well built products like they used to.
    By derrickschroeder83, on July 21, 2018
    • I agree, this one is solid. We'd purchased one at the store and it fell apart within a year.
By awloe, on July 24, 2018

  • I'm considering submitting a project too now, thanks for the inspiration

  • Absolutely beautiful! The grain and color are just awesome!!
By RYOBI NATION, on July 16, 2018

  • Hello, I tried making a board like that with different wood but it flexed. How did you stop it cupping/flexing?
By Anglofurnishings, on July 17, 2018
    • Made a jig out of plywood to hold everything until the glue fully dried

  • What a solid build! Did you burn the wood to get that look?
By RYOBI NATION, on July 16, 2018
    • No wood burning. I used some very aged treated lumber. An I applied an acid wash used for cleaning decks an sanded it down real good an put 3 coats of  polyurethane clear over it.
      By Steve1973, on July 16, 2018
    • It's beautiful! Nicely done!
By RYOBI NATION, on July 17, 2018
    • Thanks for the Compliment. The wood was actually reclaimed from an old deck. The wood really makes great projects. I’ll be posting more projects soon. I’ve got a lot of material to find a use for.
