The RYOBI LINK Wall Rail System is built to maximize your space with a fully customizable, expandable setup that adapts to your needs from your garage storage, workshop, shed, laundry room, pantry, closet, basement, and more. Ready to get started? Follow this guide to learn how to install your RYOBI LINK Wall Rails and build out your wall storage system.

  • Before You Begin

Before installing your RYOBI LINK Wall Rails, determine what you want to store and how much wall space you'll need. Consider leaving additional space for future expansion—you can easily add additional Wall Rails, hooks, shelves, cabinets, organizers, and other LINK accessories as your storage needs change. The RYOBI LINK Wall Rail system features 16" on-center alignment for stud installation and includes alignment tabs to help create a straight, consistent installation. Wall Rails support up to 75 lbs. per linear foot when properly installed. What You'll Need: Depending on your wall type, gather: RYOBI LINK Wall Rails and applicable hardware, stud finder, level, pencil or marker, drill/driver, drill bits, screwdriver or driver bit, appropriate wall anchors for your wall type, and safety glasses. Important: Always follow the installation instructions included with your specific RYOBI LINK product. Wall Rails must be securely mounted to appropriate structural support, and the maximum weight capacity of the Wall Rail or individual accessory should never be exceeded.

  • Step 1: Plan Your LINK Wall

Start by deciding where you want your LINK system to go and what you want to store. Think about how frequently you'll access your tools and gear. Place frequently used items where they're easy to reach, while less frequently used equipment can go higher or farther out of the way. Connecting the 2-in-1 Endcaps and 16” Wall Rails is as simple as one click. If you’re installing a 16” wall rail without endcaps, just ensure you’re using the included alignment tabs for a seamless connection. It's also a good idea to plan for expansion. The LINK Wall Storage System is designed to be expandable, so you don't have to build your entire organization system at once.

  • Step 2: Find and Mark Your Studs

Use a stud finder to locate the studs behind your wall. The LINK Wall Rail is designed around 16" on-center stud spacing, making it easy to plan a consistent layout across your wall. Use a level to establish a straight horizontal reference line at the desired installation height. Mark the location of your studs along this line. Place the first LINK Wall Rail against the wall along your reference line. Use the rail to mark the locations where you'll secure it to the wall.

  • Step 3: Drill & Secure

Drill pilot holes using a 1/8” drill bit. Place your wall rail back on the wall and securely fasten with the included hardware.

  • Step 4: Add Accessories

Now that your wall rails are secured, customize your setup with a variety of LINK accessories like hooks, bins, and more. And just like that, your RYOBI LINK wall rail is ready to help you build a more organized workspace. Many LINK accessories can be positioned and repositioned as your needs change, allowing you to create a storage setup that's customized to your tools and space.

  • Can I Expand My RYOBI LINK System Later?

Absolutely. One of the biggest advantages of the RYOBI LINK Modular Storage System is its ability to grow with your needs. Start with a Wall Rail, then add additional Wall Rails, 2-in-1 Endcaps, hooks, shelves, cabinets, organizers, and other LINK-compatible products as your space and storage needs evolve. The current LINK Wall Storage System features the same LINK connection with a new design and greater versatility, making it easy to build a customized organization solution over time.
