Can I charge Lithium batteries with a NiCad charger?

Only a Lithium-ion charger can be used to charge Lithium-ion batteries. You can purchase our RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium-Ion Upgrade Kit Here.

What is a 'Hybrid' product?

A Hybrid product is one than can run off a battery OR an extension cord plugged into an outlet.

What is the warranty for RYOBI Outdoor Products?

All RYOBI Outdoor Products purchased on or after JANUARY 1, 2009 are covered by a 3-year warranty. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase for use of the warranty.

What is the warranty for RYOBI Power Tools?

All RYOBI Portable Power Tools and Bench/Stationary tools purchased on or after JANUARY 1, 2011 are covered by this 3-year warranty. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase for use of the warranty.

Can batteries be purchased separately from RYOBI tools?

Yes. Visit your local Home Depot or visit HomeDepot.com to order.

How can I get service on my RYOBI tool(s)?

You can take your product to your local Home Depot to send for repair. Or, to find your nearest authorized service center, create your account on log in to ryobitools.com. You must present proof of purchase.

Will all 18v batteries work with all 18v tools?

Yes, with the exception of Lithium-ion batteries. These batteries will not charge on Ni-cad chargers.

How long is my battery under warranty?

Your RYOBI battery is covered under a three year limited warranty. Keep your receipt and share information found on your receipt with our customer service team if you ever need assistance. If a battery comes in a kit (with the tool and charger), no receipt is required. Call customer service (1-877-655-5250) with any battery issues and they will be able to assist or direct you to the closest service center.

Where can I find the model number and serial number of my Outdoor Product?

Information on your RYOBI product can be found on the black label located directly on your tool. Your serial number can be found on this label and may begin with CS, OA etc. Your model number will either begin with a RY or a P or AC (accessory).
