Rated 4 out of 5 by JoeMos from Works Fine I bought this unit to do some milling of Aluminum. The weight of the unit is a help. More stable than lighter units. However, I found out after buying it, my fault, that a dust collector was not an accessory. I am keeping the unit but am looking for another router that includes a dust collector as an accessory. Milling any metal is a must-have a dust collector accessory due to the metal particle can be bad for your health. I have an enclosed plywood box constructed with five muffin fans mounted on the back, which exit some particles into a special sewn pillow cover. I am also working on a special design which will collect , at the router.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lunchbox from Last through 4 projects. Worked great while it did, but after 4 relevantly small projects , it failed. Only being 9 months old, it was very disappointing. This was my first Ryobi tool, will probably be my last. I purchased this hoping it would last a long time. It has a 3 year warranty, however I would have to bring it to a "certified" Ryobi repair center. I purchased the router table too, hopefully it can be modified to fit another router. If not, its trash too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OutsiderJack90 from Great Value! I bought this router for a vanity-top shelf project mainly for flush cutting, but it has quickly blossomed into more bits and new projects. The variable speed is a great feature for adjusting for uphill and downhill cuts. Adjustable depth setting is easy to customize upon changing bits. It performed flawlessly. Only thing that would be nice to have would be a port for adding a vacuum hose for a more cleanly shop. Overall, for the value features and price, I would highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by rainman3287 from Great tool for the price I've only been able to use it a hand full of times but so far its worth the money. Easy to use and accurate depth gages. The only let down is there isn't a way to hook up a shop vac, because this thing will make a mess. Also wish they didn't use the button style lock for the bits. You have to hold a button and use the wrench to get it out. Would make it inconvenient to use as a table router. But other than that its a great tool. Ready for more projects with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Robzbrz from Excellent Quality, even better price This is one of my favorite RYOBI tools. I purchased it primarily for hand carved signs and other pieces of home decor. Plenty of power for ripping through a variety of different woods, easy bit changes, and reliable depth control. This tool has it all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ssmith29615 from 1st and 2nd router that I have owned! The Ryobi router is the first and second router I have ever owned (only one I have owned). I bought my first one 4 years ago. I've used it on all sorts of projects: tables, furniture, decks, and signs. I bought another Ryobi this past December only because I wanted to see how tough the first one was. I built twelve 34in round table tops out of treated 2 x 6s and decided to see if I could router the circles in one pass! Yes, one pass. Lol. I used a 1/2in straight bit to plunged route thru 1-1/2 pine. I was able to cut out 8 tables before I burn up the motor. Honestly, I didn't think I would make it thru half of one table top. But that thing was a beast. So I didn't hesitate to replace it with the same model. The only recommendation I have is to add a coil or make the power cord coming out of the unit stiffer. So as to not allow the power cord to fall back down closer to your work area. But I think all rounters need to improve that. Other than that, great tool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by dlchambersjr from Love the power and ease of use! This was my first experience with a plunge router and I'm glad I did it with this one. I used it to install some t-track on a workbench. I like how easy it was to set the depth of the cut with the depth gauge and a piece of the track. The power of the router cut through the wood with great ease . I am not disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KC_Mark from No regrets! I bought the earlier model almost identical to this one around 10 years ago. It had the blue enclosure but looks the same. One of the best power tools I have ever bought and it just keeps on going. The 2HP motor and speed control never bogs down and the plunge works every time. Really comfortable to use, too!
