18V ONE+™ ROTARY TOOL
18V ONE+™ ROTARY TOOL is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 159.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice for detail work. A week ago I went to Home Depot to replace my decades old (12 volt) Ryobi reciprocating saw for a new 18 V one during Ryobi Days. After grabbing the saw my eyes wandered to additional sale deals and I wound up also buying the 18V rotary tool. Since then I've tried it on a couple projects and found that it's perfect for detail work. If you need something for small, intricate areas this is a life saver. It's easy to use, comes with the basic attachments and uses the same 18V batteries as all the other tools I use. Perfect for your collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WORKS GREAT !!! I bought this almost a month ago to replace a corded rotary tool I purchased in the 70's to sharpen chain saw blades to cut wood for my wood Buck stove. Now that I live in Phoenix I don't need cut wood. I first used my new 18v ONE+ Rotary Tool to make a new pencil sharpening blade fit my old PEPSI can pencil sharpener by rounding just a small amount off the top left corner of the new blade. Picture of pencil sharpener and old rotary tool added. I've used the new tool to smooth a piece of strap metal to secure my drill press to my folding workmate table. I've also practiced on several plastics, tin cans and wood to see what I can do. I love it because IT WORKS GREAT. THANKS RYOBI !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I loved about my old Dremel and more! Years ago I had a cordless Dremel. It was good but boy did that battery drain fast, and it was so slow to recharge. There were of course corded options but this Ryobi tool beats them all. Of course the one+ battery family helps, my garage has continued to become more and more green. I had the opportunity to use this shortly after I bought it to fix the drain cleanout in my neighbor's yard. I needed to cut the broken pipe and unless I wanted to dig a huge hole I wouldn't have been able to use any kind of saw. This tool with it's pen-like attachment and a good cutoff wheel made quick work of it. I knew I had made a good purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected I was a little unsure about the two piece format of this vs. a more traditional “dremel” type tool, but so far it hasn’t been an issue. I am usually able to find a spot to set the drive unit, and then I just have the light easy to handle rotary part to work with. I think an improvement would be to have a belt clip sort of thing for easy carrying. I had to remove some wood from an electric guitar to make room for a bridge upgrade. I was a little nervous to cut into a nice guitar, but this thing was both gentle and efficient. I’ve also used it to remove rust from an old bathroom shelf. Both jobs were easy with this tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I should have purchased this sooner!!! I purchased this after a long time looking at it from afar. I didn’t notice before I opened the box that it has a place for all your attachments built it. For someone who is very particular about his tools this is a major win! I’ve used it for multiple things and to help with hobbies and crafts also just yesterday I used it to cut glass for all my fish tank lids(WEAR EYE PROTECTION). The other day I used it to cut wire shelving to size(WEAR EYE PROTECTION). I did not purchase the option that Included the battery because I have multiple 18v Ryobi batteries and tools. I would recommend this product over and over again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool Tool! I bought this when I saw the display in the store and was impressed with the way it was built. I've used it a couple of times now and it is AWESOME! As a bonus, all my old wheels ,sanders and discs fit this tool. The top of the tool has holes for bit storage which I use for my most used bits. I really like the little plastic box that the bits come in and so my less used attachments stay in there. The tool is built like a boat anchor! It should outlast me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Rotary Tool! What a wonderful tool! I got it for myself, sure, but knew that my wife would love it, too. I "need" it for some future use that will surely arise in the near future, like most tool owners, for sure. My wife, on the other hand, already owned a handheld, plug-in rotary tool, which she uses to carve, grind, drill, and smooth shapes and openings into objects that become fixtures in snake and other small pet terrariums. It works more than perfectly for that use, is more convenient and WAY more powerful than the plug-in tool it replaced. Her previous rotary tool would bog down terribly with load, even at max RPM. The Ryobi rotary tool bogs down a little at lower RPM settings, but hardly or not at all at higher RPM settings. Great tool, and currently one of the free tool options during Summer 2019 Ryobi Days!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid unit and tool This is a sturdy and well built rotary tool. The tool itself is light and comfortable to hold due the motor and battery being in the base. This makes it very easy to maneuver and position. So far I have mainly used it for cleaning rust off of some parts and it has performed very well. The only negative is that it is hard to gauge how fast the tool is spinning as the knob doesn't denote the RPMs. Basically you turn it up to go faster. Overall a great and affordable tool.
