Rated 5 out of 5 by Gene in SLO from High-Performance Easy-to-handle Drill I bought my first RYOBI cordless drill about 20 years ago. This drill outperforms that drill is many key areas. The new drill is about half the length and weight of the old unit. The new drill has a bright LED to illuminate the work area. The old drill had none. My only concern is the center detent lock to keep the drill from turning on in the bag is too weak. I discovered the drill had run down the battery by running slowly in the bag. My fix was to cut a 1/4 inch wide strip of clear plastic packaging material and used it to cover the battery contacts while it is stored in the bag.
