Rated 5 out of 5 by rkreidler3 from Great Value I bought this saw to cut some lumber for a new front porch. It performed surprisingly well given the price point. Now I have had it a couple years and it is still chugging along. I regularly cut 2x4s, 1x6s, 4x4s,etc. for outdoor projects and love working with this thing. The laser sight helps get fairly precise measurements. If you are in cabinet making or similar professional fields, you would obviously want something more accurate, but this is great for a DIYer or other handyman. The only real complaint is on user error. I keep forgetting to switch the laser light back off and causes the battery to die frequently on the light. Would be nice feature if that just turned on and off with the trigger similar to the drills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rbaisden1215 from Great Saw, cuts clean I shopped around for a long time before purchasing this saw. I was on the fence between a dewalt and rigid and then i had a chance to use my friends 12" Ryobi and i was hooked. I didn't need the 12" and wanted to keep the the function of my shop fluid so i can use my 10" blades for my miter saw and table saw ( when i purchase one). setup is easy my only issue is the depth stop is loose and i have tried to tighten but it is at capacity. It has only slid on me a few times but its not a big deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nathan from Great beginner mitre saw I purchased the Ryobi 10" mitre saw as the very first tool I've used (probably since grade 7 shop class). Incredibly easy out of the box set up. I wanted something with a laser hoping it would be a surefire way to make straight cuts without doing a lot of measuring and marking. Unfortunately that is not the case. It does not line up very well with the degree markings on the front of the saw. I havent looked much into adjusting the laser (if that's even possible). Not a huge deal breaker as I went out and purchased a rafter square anyways. Cost was also an awesome feature. It's probably one of the most inexpensive saws I found. I managed to get it on sale so it was an even better deal. I was almost expecting it to perform worse but quickly found it does a great job right out of the box! Highly recommended (just dont rely tok heavily on the laser!).

Rated 5 out of 5 by PKMSR from Very Hardy and dependable I have a home in Pensacola, Florida and arrived to fix my house up as I had renters. I quickly realized that I had to be cutting a lot of wood as I had major repairs, which included a 20' by 20' patio with needed handrails, frame work etc. Inside I had molding, baseboards, doorways, chair rail, ceiling fans that needed braces, and etc. I live 2,000 miles away and my tools were at home. Went to the local hardware and bought the 10 in.Compound miter saw and what a blessing as the job got so much more achievable. I used it every day and it worked very well. Love the Laser feature. I now use it as my main chop saw as it is dependable, light, sfety features, laser marking which helps stay on the cut marked, takes up a small space but is a work horse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Unit505 from Very pleased! I'm about three months in and thousands of cuts including 4x4's, 2x8's, treated and no treated lumber and have yet to have this saw break a sweat! I accidentally bought this saw thinking it was the sliding version, but I kept it and use it weekly! Adjustable laser and lumber vice built in make it easy to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Joerod from Good saw The saw works with ease. The laser is very accurate. If there was any Improvement that I could recommend would be to have a quick release for the clamp, it's kind of annoying having to completely unscrew the clamp in order to use it. If there was a quick release I think it would be much better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Droid from Good size, clean cuts, accurate. Bought this saw to use for house some house remodeling and other projects. Has worked well, cut cleanly and accurately. It's my first miter saw so I had a little bit of a learning curve, but it's been a great addition to the tool set and I can see using it on many projects/jobs in the future.
