Rated 4 out of 5 by Stehlinst from Pads are good for a one time job it seems. I bought this a month ago and I am very happy with its performance. It was the cheapest option at Home depot, and what I got was well worth the 40$ I spent. However, the dust catch is basically useless (There was like no sand in it after a large project, but plenty of sand all around me), the "60 grit) sandpaper pads that came with the kit are also more like 120. Also, the sanding pad actually deteriorates pretty fast, but ryobi has the part number on their Technical Manuals and is the cheapest and most efficient way to get replacement parts for it. Its a simple 6 screw system.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ripped off from Disappointed I bought this ryobi oribital sander a month ago to replace a Dewalt sander that quit on me. This machine is powerful enough but the retainers that hold the sand paper in place are poorly designed. The paper will come loose and though it says 1/4 sheet you have to trim about an 1/8” off so it won’t be so loose on the pad the pad also is made with an aluminum plate that bends easily. Waiting on parts for the dewalt to come in so I can fix it. For $50.00 this machine is a waste of money

Rated 5 out of 5 by ADAM804 from Comfortable Comfortable in the hand power switches in the right spot the tools is not make your hand or arm go numb after extended periods of use which is something that I really desire in my sander, noise of it is what you would expect from any palm sander in the price is absolutely in the right spot I don't know why people pay 200 or more when all you're trying to do is slide sandpaper across a surface ,I Ryobi does not seem to need an arm and a leg they just want you to use a good quality tools ...thats why the price is right ! . I have purchased over six Ryobi power tools in the last 3 months ,my latest was a trimmer for my lawn and I'm happy with all of my purchases and I do not regret a single one I think anybody reading this should at least give them a shot

Rated 2 out of 5 by Are these toys or tools from Where's the dust hose adapter???!!! Sucks! Too much annoying vibration for the actual sanding that's done. Extremely frustrated finding the (NOT INCLUDED) dust port hose adapter. The dust bag is useless

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ty1er from Love This Sander There are so many things I love about this sander. To start, I am a cordless tool fan and I would say 90% of my tools are cordless. However with the amount of sanding I needed to do, I was wasting time by waiting for batteries to charge. The corded sander eliminated that wait time. The sander clips that hold the sandpaper work flawlessly. I never had a single end of a sheet of sandpaper come out of the clamps. This kit came with a tool that allows you to punch holes in new sandpaper sheets so they line up with the suction holes on the sander. I ended up removing the sand collector and attaching my shop vac to the dust port. If possible, I recommend avoiding the sandpaper that uses adhesive to stick to the sander. I did this with one grit of sandpaper and when I tried to remove it, it took off some of the black pad on the sander.

Rated 4 out of 5 by cpenny from Does a solid job for a small sander Ive had this sander for a few years now and I like this sander much better than the sanders with the velcro type sanding pads. This sander has clips to hold down the sanding pad very well so you can get great use of the entire surface area of the sanding pad. The dust bag collector is nice as well to minimize the spread of dust in your shop. I also like that the bag will collect the dust to use on other projects to fill wood holes and gaps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nicky from Big power comes in small package I bought this sander to help me refinish a few bath tubs in a large apartment building I run. The previous guy had just spray painted the tubs so I needed to get through several layers of old paint. This palm sander is light, easy to use, and powers through whatever I throw at it. The most important thing for me is the vibration damping, you can sand for hours and not feel like your bones are going to shake into a million pieces!
