Rated 5 out of 5 by HackerJunk from Sad that this is discontinued I have a previous version. This is the ONLY corded drill with a clutch that I know of. Great price. I've had mine for about 20 years and still going strong. Slightly more than normal home use since i like to do small projects. Super Sad that it seems they do not make this any more. I was going to buy one for my son. I had a makita about 20 years ago, but they wanted a giant amount for a new battery. It's not that hard to use an extension cord vs buying a new batter every few years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tooltail from Excellent Tool This is the Only corded drill with a clutch on the market. I'm never far from an electrical outlet so I prefer the extra power and simplicity of corded tools. The clutch is extremely useful when driving screws. I highly recommend this tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by raminolta from Great Features I have had an expensive cordless Makita drill for a couple of years, purchased based on a friend's recommendation. Right from the beginning the battery didn't seem holding much charge. I didn't care though because I am only a casual user. Now, it's almost unusable since the battery barely holds any charge. I decided I don't really need a cordless drill and this Ryobi with variable speed and clutch adjustment seemed the right choice. I paid for this Ryobi about a fifth of what I had paid for the Makita and the truth is the Ryobi seems like a superior product to me. The drill button feels very responsive to the level of pressure I apply on it hence, the control I have over the rotational speed is unbelievable, far better that anything I could do with the Makita. I can even make the drill crawl! The clutch setting is also a great bonus.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JOEpa from GREAT DRILL/DRIVER, ALWAYS READY TO WORK I HAVE AN OLD ONE OF THESE(BLUE). IT WORKED GREAT FOR YEARS UNTIL IT STOPPED WORKING. LOOKING FOR THE REPLACEMENT BUT HARD TO FIND. ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT IS MY OLD ONE HAD 12FT CORD, SO MOST JOBS I DIDN'T NEED AN EXTENSION CORD. NEW ONE ONLY HAS 6FT CORD, SO I WILL HAVE TO DRAG ALONG AN EXTENSION CORD FOR MOST USES.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Superheat210 from Great tool I upgraded to this drill driver after using a nicad battery that was slowly failing. The lithium battery makes such a big difference, and the ability to use the same battery in so many tools makes it easy to keep going and going.
