Portability is nice!
It is a nice Soldering Iron, and I like that I do not need to haul extension cords to use it where it is needed.
I do, however, have three complaints:
The cord needs to be about a foot longer.
The pointy tip that comes with it has limited uses, I had to file a flat on it to increase usability.
There needs to be some way to order the extra TIP [flat, like a screwdriver] that is offered in a more expensive kit, otherwise I will need to make my own, which I am sure will "void the warranty". If it CAN be ordered, it was not obvious after a visit to the Ryobi web site.

This is AWESOME!
Just picked this up tonight and gave it a spin. Heats up FAST, does a great job of soldering, and it's very portable. No more dragging the extension cord out to the car or waiting to refill the still-hot butane soldering iron! Makes auto wiring tasks a breeze and works with the same batteries as the tools so it's a quick switchover from one tool to the other. Price was very good, quality is great, highly recommended addition to your One+ system!

I love it but needs more attachments
I love it but needs more attachments, I do a lot of soldering in the local hardware store does not carry attachments for it and I’m not even sure if they are available I have looked and can’t find anything I’m wondering if it’s compatible with another time other than that it’s really good to be able to use my batteries for so many different tools

Just what I needed!
I do quite a bit of electrical work on my house trailer and cars, and find it awkward to use a 120v soldering iron in situ. My wife bought me this Ryobi One+ soldering iron since I already had quite a few of this system's tools. Using the battery as a base is inspired - it makes the base very stable and compact and easy to use in cramped quarters. The iron heats up rapidly and the status LED lets you know when it is ready to use.
A real winner from Ryobi.
Highly recommended!

works perfect!
I bought this because I had a bird house with a metal roof and the hanging ring broke off, I tried several things to fix and then say this. It worked great and have even had some storms and the solder held up nice. I also have fixed some tomatoes cages! perfect for what I need.

Great, great, great
This cordless soldering iron works great. Heats up fast. Less than 30 seconds. Indicator shows when it’s ready. Tried on 16,14 and 12 gauge stranded wire. Worked just as good as my plug in Weller soldering gun. Another winner from Ryobi. Next is the cordless heat gun!

This beauty surprised me!
I was installing LED lighting in my home and my weller solder iron was just taking forever to heat the solder for some connections. I still had more soldering ahead and needed a new iron. I was surprised to see a cordless soldering iron available by RYOBI. I am a big fan already and took the risk. Soooo glad I did. This heats fast. has handled this job of soldering connections beautifully. Not having a cord made this job easier too! Bring it right to the location of the connection and solder away. I was very impressed and made the job so much easier.

Love the portability
I always used to use crimp style connectors in my automotive and boat and trailer needs because it sucks to drag long extension cords. Can’t wait for the next wireing project
