Trinity Habitat for Humanity revitalizes neighborhoods
by building quality, affordable homes and rehabbing existing homes with
volunteer labor and donations of money and materials.
Sponsors and donors underwrite construction costs of Habitat for Humanity homes.
Partner families invest “sweat equity” in the construction of their homes or others’
houses, working side by side with volunteers. Partner families make affordable
monthly payments on a no-interest mortgage held by Habitat.
Trinity Habitat for Humanity has built over 553 new homes and preserved more
than 877 existing homes in Tarrant, Johnson, Parker and Wise counties since 1989.
We will use the tools to build new homes and rehab existing homes in our partner neighborhoods.

Project H is a 501c3 nonprofit that teaches youth to design and build their future with heart, hands, and hammers.
Based in Oakland, CA, Project H has three core programs that bring creativity
and hands-on construction to schools and communities: Studio H, Camp H, and
Unprofessional Development. Project H is specifically invested in creating pathways,
confidence, and careers for young girls of color in STEM, design, architecture,
and creative industries. To date, our 500+ young participants have designed and
built a 2000-square-foot farmers market, their own school library, micro-housing
for the homeless, furniture for a domestic violence shelter, and laser-etched skateboards.
All programs would benefit from more hand tools and power tools so that all of our
students could simultaneously work on their individual and community projects, in and out of school.

The Greater Fairbanks Area Habitat for Humanity is located
in interior Alaska. We have the largest service area of any HFH affiliate in the country.
Using volunteer labor and donations from the community, we will use the Ryobi
tools to build affordable housing for low income families. Our program is a hand up,
not a hand-out. Our partner families buy the homes from us at no profit with a zero
interest mortgage loan. They also help build the home by putting in three to five
hundred sweat equity hours. Thanks Ana for thinking of us and good luck in the challenge.
