Rated 4 out of 5 by Carlson from Good Bagger, But Not Perfect I bought this a few month ago to reduce the amount of clippings buildup on my lawn. The bagger itself is a simple design and VERY easy to install on the riding mower; less than 10 minutes. Once the blades were changed and was put into use, I realized a few things. The manual says avoid bagging on damp grass. It will definitely clog so listen. The design of the tubing angles to the left bag and it fills WAY faster than the right. The fact that it doesn't fill evenly I have seen the bag fall of my move and create a huge mess to clean up. To mitigate that, I check the bags and swap the bags to prevent an overfilled bag from falling off. The spinning wheel indicator is absolutely WORTHLESS. It doesn't spin well if it spins at all. So I have to constantly check to make sure the bags aren't full. Other than those complaints, the bags get the job done and I would purchase again. I would hope the Ryobi fixes the problem with the spinning wheel and the left bag filling much faster than the right. Its not a perfect system, but it works decently and gets the job done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Retired Tom from Excellent bagger with a couple issues. I've had my electric rider for about 2 months now. The bagger adds a great feature doing an excellent job of picking up grass and leaves. As previously noted in other reviews the spinner bag full wheel does not spin requiring a few extra stops to see how full the bags are. I also have a issue with the latch on the cover. It doesn't seem to latch very well and certainly doesn't go 'snap' as outlined in the instructions. Oh, and yes the left bag fills faster as others point out. All in all I give it a big thumbs up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by No Bother from Great bagger for great electric rider Update to 1star "bother". Replaced unit, works as it should with little effort to close. Bags clippings best in left bag. Due to strong lift from blades, I'll take it. Best bags I've ever used. Easy to remove and empty. I can't wait until I can bag fall leaves this fall!

Rated 3 out of 5 by HCBworker from Good and Not So The bagger itself is very good. It's ready to mount, open, and empty. However, the spinner to indicate when the bags are full really doesn't work, so you can easily overfill the bags.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jaredai156 from Good concept I really liked the idea of an electric riding mower. Quiet, clean and easy to maintain. But this one is not so great. Bagger only works about 10% of the time, blades get bogged down really easily and stop all the time even in short grass and batteries don't usually last a full 2 hours as advertised. I want to like it but it just doesn't have the guts to do the job right. I know electric is never as powerful as gas but for $3000 surely we can do better

Rated 3 out of 5 by Psalm374 from It does a job if you are careful. I have used this for a few times. How well this bagger works depends on how you mow the lawn. If the grass is a little "moist" and/or cut the grass too short, the duct will clog with ~30-40% chance. The "moist" that I am talking about it not right after a rain shower, but the moisture level in the evening of a cloudy day after watering in the morning (also, it is influenced by how much water the grass itselt holds). I think the clogging problem may be mitigated by not cutting the grass too short. The bag on the left side is always filled first, and needs to dumped before the right bag is full. The wheel indicator does not work (turn) well when collecting the grass. So, there is no indicator to show if the bags are full, or the duct is clogged, or collecting the grass. It works if you are careful, but the price seems a little too high for its functionality.
