2300 STARTING WATT BLUETOOTH INVERTER GENERATOR is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 372.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet, lightweight + Bluetooth! Just got my generator and can't wait to take it camping with my newly acquired Chalet Aliner. It is lightweight and easy to start. I got the Bluetooth because the Home Depot salesman confirmed that it would START with my phone. Turns out he was wrong. However, even an old lady like me can pull start it. Saved me some $400 over an electric start. Love that it has USB connections as well as three-prong. Now I will be able to be comfortably inside my RV and turn off the generator without having to go out at night. Just love the wheels and pull-out handle that make it roll like a suitcase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Performaceand Value I bought this generator about a month ago and I'm so glad I did. I followed the manufacturer's directions and it started on the second pull! First thing I noticed was how very quite it is. You can have a normal conversation with it running right beside you! I also like the automatic throttle that speeds up the engine when there is a demand for power. You may not power your whole house with this unit but if you want a quite generator that will keep your refrigerator or freezer cold when the power goes out or if you want something very portable for those camping trips or tailgate events, then this Ryobi unit is a great value and I highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like my Ryobi Bought this a month ago, used it twice now for weekend camping trips. the first weekend we used it seemed to be a little rough and surging more than I expected, The second weekend we used it was much better, must have needed a break in period. this is not as quiet as I was expecting, but is much quieter then any other generator we have used. I really like the blue tooth feature, you sit inside late in the evening watching tv or something and you just shut if off with your phone. great feature. I have ran the Ryobi about 28 hours now and have only filled it up with gas twice, currently I have over 3/4 tank of gas left in it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great: if it had 12v like 2200 would have 5 stars Less then 10 hrs on 2300, broke in with various loads. About 40 degrees Cold start, choke on slow pre pull, normal pull started every time. Tested on everything in house and garage. My 6.5 H.P. compressor I had to start with no air in tank (start load to high) then it filled tank to 150 lbs. no problem. Ran my Mig. welder on High setting. Larger Micro wave oven was worst, slow start but worked. Large frig-freezer slow start but worked. Only small problem is side service cover gasket is cheap garbage, tore first time opened, called about parts and gasket is part of side cover, and they replaced. So they are good on parts. Very quite, seems like a keeper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Generator I've had this generator about a month. In that time I've run it about 10 hours for test purposes. For me, it's an emergency machine to provide power to keep two refrigerators working, especially the frozen meats which we buy in bulk. It will run two refrigerators just fine and has power left over for a fan and lights. The app to monitor remotely is great and works well including the ability to monitor fuel, time remaining based on load, and fuel level. It is gas efficient in the case of an emergency. It's easy to start. Cold start is only two pulls on cord, warm engine, only one. It is quiet! It gets noisier under load but far quieter than older machines. Under a light load it is very noise tolerant. Easy to pull handle is a plus and if you planned to tail gate, I'd recommend this machine. Cheaper than Honda by about $400 and just as good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great generator I needed a generator for our 3 week camping trips, this won't turn over my air conditioner but will charge the batteries. The plan is to buy another and pair them. Took it out and it fired up on the first pull it's super quiet under 60% load, couldn't be happier about the noise level. I love the Bluetooth. I can watch a campfire and see what's going on with the generator on my phone. It shows how much fuel is left what percentage the load it's under and how much time you have left. We ran it for 9 hours total out there and I used around 2 gallons of fuel. Also extremely light weight. For 600 dollars I'm so pleased with my ryobi generator and cannot wait to buy my second to pair with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Generator We got this generator for Hurricane Irma. Although we haven't been hit by Irma yet we have been messing around with the generator to get familiar with it and we couldn't be happier. It is so powerful and lasts quite a while. There is a time to show you how much longer it can stay on and a bar to show how much more you can plug in to it. I would definitely recommend this generator! It is also on wheels with a hand to roll. Definite plus!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little Inverter Generator I bought this little beast because I live in Puerto Rico and we were hit by to mayor Strom on Sept, 2017. I use this Generator every day since October 21 for the basic like fridge, fans, charge cell phonez laptops and table, led light, TV and laundry (Not all at the same time). The 1.2 gas tank last me most of the time 12 hours with the fridge (6.5 amp) 3 fans and 4 cellphone charger. I change the oil every 3 days because I use this almost 24 hours a day. I'm very happy with the product at the moment have more than 700+ hours of use. I didn't give the full 5 start because the handle vibrate and make a terrible sound. They need to improve this handle on future. But overall I recommended this generator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Emergenicies, Camping, Job Sites I bought this unit after our power went out and wasn't expected to return for 4 days. We needed to keep our fridge and deep freezer running. I expected usuage around 50% since they're larger appliances and the compressors can be power hogs. What I found was I could run both of those for about 12 hours on a gallon of gas or about 20% utilization. Based on that I expect a full load to last about 4-5 hours. I intentionally bought this unit because of the ability to add a second unit. I don't have that need, but I like the option to "upgrade." So, what do I like about it? First, it's seemingly very fuel efficient. Compared to the others I was reading reviews about this was consistently reviewed as a fuel saver, which I can't agree more. Second, the noise. It is very quiet comparatively to the others in my neighborhood. My neighbors came over to offer me a line to their generators because they couldn't hear that I had one running. Third, the Bluetooth app is really nifty. It's a nice convenience to not have to go check on the generator often. I see it having more of a practical use for camping or job site work where you can check the load or shut it off. Lastly, it's light weight. It is very easy to move. With the suitcase handle and wheels, it was a cinch to move around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little generator I bought this generator about 2 to 3 weeks ago to use on my enclosed trailer. A little sceptical about the size at first but after using it I am very pleased with it. It runs my lights, chargers and power tools with no issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value I purchased this now as generators are disappearing off the shelf since Harvey and Irma devastated the country. I've previously owned a bigger (and more unwieldy) generator ... this product now does the trick for me and I'm looking forward to many years of it providing at least a minimum of power security for my home. One of the features I appreciate most is the attention to detail that is provided by the carburetor drain facility. As an intermittent user, I appreciate being able to completely void the fuel and guaranteeing that my generator starts as easily as it did the first time. The only minor negative comment is that the motor cover screw takes fifteen turns to open the cover. Though not necessary to open often a two turn or quick release mechanism would have sufficed. Thanks for supplying another great tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In my opinion, these are NOT ‘Entry-Level’... In my opinion, these are NOT ‘Entry-Level’ inverter/generators. I believe they are better than that. I bought 2 RYi2300BTA’s in the same week. I also got the Parallel kit. I bought them to replace my single ‘Big Name’ generator which has served me well. We live on a boat and travel quite a bit, but sometimes public piers do not have power. Our boat has an on-board 8KW generator, but for night time, I prefer not to run it since we only power a few systems overnight. Plus, the on-board generator uses much more fuel than a portable gen. At times, we would like to run heat/ac overnight, but our ‘Big Name’ inverter/generator wouldn’t run it by itself and it was time to either pay the big money for 2 of them or look at other options. Hence the reason I chose the Ryobi 2300’s with the parallel kit. I also chose Ryobi because I still have EVERY Ryobi tool that I have ever bought and they ALL still work. (Even my Ryobi power tool kit which I bought at Home Depot over 20 years ago) The first thing I did was open the cover on the side of each unit and look around while I was adding the included engine oil. One thing I noticed right from the beginning is how neatly things were packed inside. All wiring was tied back and major components were securely mounted. I also noticed the circuit board was epoxy filled to keep things protected. The insulation appeared to be of a good reflective quality. Also, none of the engine components that were visible looked ‘tinny’. They all seemed to be higher quality materials. Hoses were all secured and purposefully routed to prevent movement and some were molded so they would not touch other parts. A quick run of a flashlight around the case while looking inside only showed indirect light, so I believe the case is sealed fairly well. I also noticed dots made by a marker at various points. My guess is that this was some sort of Quality Control inspection, but I’m not sure. Startup was simple. They BOTH start on the FIRST pull. If its cold, I use the choke, but they still start on the first pull. The first day, I put them through their paces as far as applying loads. First, I used them individually without the parallel kit. Each one handled a 1500 watt heater with ease and only approached the full load mark, but did not reach it. I noticed that at no time did I ever have to turn the Auto-Idle feature off. They both came off idle fast enough for the load I gave them. Keeping the Auto-Idle turned on was important because the Auto-Idle keeps them quiet when there is less of a load on them. I hope I can keep this feature on when using my air conditioners. I’ll report back when warmer weather hits. Then I tried the parallel kit. As I guessed, they stayed around (or less than) half load with the 1500 watt heater. Adding another heater for a total of 3000 watts made them speed up to (again) approaching full load, but never reaching it. I also noticed that they ‘sang’ together keeping their speeds equal as I cycled through various loads. They almost sounded like ONE generator. Nice! The Bluetooth capability is not the only thing that sold me on the Ryobi’s, but it helped a lot. There are times when I will want to turn them off and its usually early in the morning. Also, I can’t even count how many times I’ve been on the pier in the middle of the night with a flashlight trying to see how much gas was remaining in my old generator. Not with the Ryobi 2300’s. I simply look at my phone and I can see how much fuel each one has and how much run time is left based on the current load. And if I want to turn them off, its a simple press on my phone and they BOTH shut down at the same time (when the app is set to parallel mode). This is HUGE! Here are some observations. -Seems well built. -Well insulated. -Changing the oil looks like it will be easy. -Its quiet. Pretty darn close if not just as quiet as my ‘Big Name’ generator. -The outlets on the parallel kit seem to work even if only one generator is running. I won't always need to run both and I don't want to have to swap plugs every time I switch from 1 to 2 units. -The 110v outlets also appear to work simultaneously with the 30amp plugs on the parallel kit. Sometimes we need quick power out on the pier and don't want to unplug the boat. -It seems to come off 'auto-idle' quickly enough. -The bluetooth app works flawlessly. Simple to set up and use and never froze or failed. This is important to me. -The one-time use paper funnel was the easiest funnel I've ever used. I wish they sold packages of this exact funnel with the cutout to pour the oil. No mess! -The thumb-screw to open the cover is perfect! No tools just to check the oil or inspect the inside. ...ok, now for the 'constructive' observations, which are very minor. 1. There's a lot of stickers on the outside. I know some are for safety, but a few weeks in the sun and I’m wondering if they will start to peel off. We’ll see. 2. The vibration of the extending handle probably adds decibels. I added a sticky felt pad to the handle where it contacts the generator and that took care of that. 3. There's no way to mount the parallel kit on the generators. A bracket would be nice. In summary, I believe I made the right choice. I paid around half of what it would have cost for 2 ‘Big Name’ units. Of course money is always a factor, but if money were NO object, I still think I would choose the Ryobi 2300’s. Time will tell how long they last, but things are looking good so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 65th Birthday Present to Myself Installed the supplied oil, filled with gas, followed the starting instructions. Started on first pull - and it was an easy pull. Tried out with lights, TV and chargers on work bench - idled up when TV loaded, then promptly auto-idled after starting load. LCD screen told me that there were 13 hours run-time at that load. When the power goes off this winter, should be enough watts to run; refrigerators, freezers, some LED lights, TV and fan on gas fireplace. The pull out handle (like luggage) makes it truly portable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great And Over Expected!!!!! I decide ti buy this Ryobi Generator because I live in Puerto Rico and after few days without electricity because of huracane IRMA, then 2 weeks later comes the most stroger huraane in the history of Puerto Rico Huracane Maria, right now i dont have electricity since september 19 2017 when MARIA pass over Puerto Rico 16 hours. Now 67 day later I use my great generator Ryobi 2300 everyday 10 hours daily for put in on the refrigarator for the food and two fans!!!! My family is very happy for this purchase and better price than any other generator with this capabilities

Rated 4 out of 5 by from RYOBI, I have a suggestion So far so good. Gas gauge, run time, and kill button from your phone. Ryobi just needs to add a Run Timer to the application. That way I can set my generator to run for 2 hours, so my batteries can charge while I'm away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thank You Ryobi For Cold Food and a Cool Room I bought this unit a week before hurricane Irma hit Florida and holy cow I am glad I did. I previously only had a Champion 1500/1200W generator. I wanted a backup for the Champion and that’s why I bought the Ryobi. Now the Champion is the backup. This thing will run my fridge and a fan a full work day(9+ hours) and have just enough fuel to not run dry. I have owned this generator for ten days and I now have 70 hours on it. The app may seem useless at first, but being able to turn off the auto-idle from inside the house, plug in the coffee maker, turn off the coffee maker, then turn the auto-idle back on is so convenient. The load meter is a great addition too. Run ethanol free gas and check the oil every gas tank is what I recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best generator I studied hard before buying this generator. This is very quiet and exactly what I need. I am using it as a backup just in case there is power outage in my house, or for my friends who have outage. The bluetooth is a big plus. The generator is compact, and wheels and handle definitely helps a lot when you need to transport the generator. It starts on a few pulls. In my first run on Auto idle mode, it switched off automatically, but it never happen on the second run. I use regular engine oil 10W30 4 stroke. I use 91 octane gasoline because that is what I can siphon out of my car in emergency.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Quiet I purchased this earlier this month to use to power lights and a computer during a event. It was required that the generator be "silent" and this unit really fits that requirement. My wife and I can stand right next to it and carry on a conversation without having to talk louder than a normal conversation level. It starts easily and the blue tooth capability is fantastic to monitor the fuel and load levels without having to leave our table to check on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IN LOVE WITH IT I bought this generator after Hurracaine Maria hit Puerto Rico. This generate has been very helpfull during this period. I used it everyday for at least 12 hours with only 1.2 gal of gas. It is very convenient due to the bluetooth feature, I can stop the generator even from my bed, you can see the total hours of operation so you can track in a perfect way the recommended maintenance schedule, also shows the load, gas a time remaining during the use. IT is perfect after the devastation of Puerto Rico. Thanks RYOBI for this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent buy This is one of the best things I ever bought. Great product easy to used and very reliable. I live in Puerto Rico and after hurricane Maria I bought this generator it’s works every single day for 12hrs or more. It’s incredible that with one gallon of gas I can run: my refrigerator all the time, 2 ceiling fans, the TV, & lights everything at the same time with no problem at all for more than 10hrs with a single gallon of gas Best Buy ever!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Above All I decided on this Generator after doing a lot of research. Love the Bluetooth feature for running my Fish house in the winter. No guessing running in and out of the house into the cold. My recommendation has convinced 2 buddies to also purchase this unit and one of them is currently a Honda man... Great Gen!

Bluetooth capabilities for the app is a PLUS!! . " no more guessing about fuel level, load consumption. Two USB ports ?? Man! can beat that. I actually bought another unit for my lights system . Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect little generator with much needed extras I've had my Ryobi Generator and love it. The pull handle and wheels are the best. I have never seen these suitcase style generators that are easy to handle. We use ours as a back up to our motor home and it gets used nearly every weekend. Pull it out wheel it to where you need it and connect nearly anything, air compressor to fill tubes at the lake, run electric griddle and a toaster for breakfast, or throw it in the back of the side by side atv and an electric chainsaw for clearing trails for the deer stands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought the 2 pack Both work great! Used on 2 camping trips this fall. I would recommend for sure. If dollars had no say, I would buy Hondas.... they are great and have 20+ years of reliability. I'm not here to bag on them. For the money these 2 units are absolutely worth it. Easy to get up and going. Pretty darn quiet too. No issues. Liked the bluetooth options, that's why I waited for these to come out. That is all...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A lot of great features and only one minor concern This generator came with a lot of features that even the most expensive quiet generators do not come with i.e more watt output then the competitor of equal comparison, bluetooth remote monitoring (so convienant). In comparison to other more expensive generators this generator is as quiet to run. My only concern is when this generator runs on auto idle, the motor surges; to correct this issue I have to play with the start, run, off control to find a sweet spot to stop the surging. Surging does not occur when auto idle is turned off. All in all this is a great generator for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Defintiely worth the $ We purchased this Ryobi 2300 Watt Inverter Generator in preparation for the hurricane season in Florida. We had read several positive reviews and this was definitely our first choice for our application. This generator was put to the test during hurricane Irma. This generator outperformed our initial expectations. We had a full refrigerator, fan, 55" TV and HD antenna connected. Set up was easy. Quiet operation. Bluetooth connected and worked amazing. We have and will continue to recommend this Ryobi model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product!! I just received my Ryobi 2300/1800 inverter generator and it's fantastic! It's very portable and light weight!! It only required two pulls of he cord to start. The unit ran quietly and did not even struggle to run my 26.0 cubic refrigerator, LED tv , and mobile electronics. I take comfortable in knowing that I will have sufficient back up power whenever I need it!
