2-Cycle Backpack Blower is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 132.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice product but disappointing reliability I bought this product in 2014 for use on my house property. I live on a standard sized lot (130x80) and use the blower after each mow to clear the driveway & sidewalks (~5 minutes of use) and in the fall to blow the leaves. I do live on a wooded lot and use it much more in the fall. Since the purchase, I have had it in for service 3 times. I am constantly having difficulty getting it to stay on after starting. It required a carburetor and idle adjustment by Home Depot twice. This season I fight to get the sidewalk cleared as it takes 5-6 starts to complete a 5 minute job. I do not think a product in this price range should be so unreliable. I drain my tank at the end of each season, use premium fuel and run the tank dry before winter storage. It's a shame this product does not last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Just the right tool for the job! My wife had wanted a blower for quite a while... In researching the Ryobi Backpack Blower, I found a video from the company with a woman demonstrating its use. That was just the proof I needed that my wife would be able to use this blower... Works like a dream! Pine straw is difficult to rake, but this blower moves it with ease!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from easy to use I bought this item about a year ago, soon after it it would not start, when I call Ryobi I was instructed to bring it to an authorize repair shop. Lost about a week of use and the leaves kept piling. After the repair it work magnificent. Now it starting to shut off with no warning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful and Fun I am physically handicapped and unable to rake/ blow leaves. Because of the advertised weight and power, my wife and I decided to try the Ryobi blower for her. She is 65, but in physically good shape. The first time she used it we were AMAZED at it's performance. She buzzes around our yard, with a smile on her face and quickly removes leaves from our heavily wooded lot. The neighbors watch in awe as she cleans our yard. Thank you Ryobi, for giving us a better life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and Powerful I researched leaf blowers both online and in several hardware stores for about two weeks before deciding to buy this Ryobi backpack blower. I am extremely happy with this blower. One reason I decided to buy it was because of the blowing power. It was stronger than more expensive brands. I am also so glad that I decided to go with a backpack rather than a hand held blower. It is well worth the additional money for a backpack. You can blow leaves for hours with ease.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Best Buy This is without a doubt the best purchase I have ever made when it comes to home maintenance. I wish I had bought this many years ago because it really does the job. I owned an electric blower and it served it's purpose for small jobs but I was trying to use it for big jobs. I bought this and I was amazed at the power and usefulness of this Ryobi 2 cycle backpack blower. From day one it always starts, has great power that allows me to move very large quantities of leaves, it's good on gas, and does a great job. I have even used this to blow away light snow from the walks, patio, and driveway. And, finally if you have a bad back, and I do, this is a blessing because you don't have to hold that heavy blower out in front of you while getting the job done. I would buy one again and have recommended it to many people.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and Powerful Extremely pleased with this blower. Out of the box I didn't think it was adjusted properly as it didn't seem to spin up to appropriate RPMS for a bit. Seemed to improve quickly with run time and some minor fiddling. Makes mincemeat out of my leafblowing which was previously handled with a Toro electric blower in 3 to 4 times longer plus a few hours of raking on pine needles in the back. Blow everything in under 2 hours with no raking. Love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great if you baby it I bought this in September for use in November. Followed all the directions and bought premixed gas/oil. Started up the first time, no problem. Blew my way around the yard with my new toy. Very powerful. The second attempt did not go as well. Would not start. Third and fourth times failed miserably. Not happy. Through trial and error, profound prophanity, and determination, I figured out the problem. Argh. What I found was that you push the primer very slowly twice prior to starting the beast. No more, no less. When I say slowly, I mean much slower than a turtle. Thing started every time after. If you find out the quirk in your machine and are consistent about your resolution, you may have luck like I did. Hoping next year it still works. Due to all of the negative starting problem reviews and my experience, I won't recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful, lightweight machine I purchased this in the fall to blow the leaves out of my yard. Very powerful, lightweight machine. Works great even on wet leaves. I used multiple times without issue. Started and ran well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Power Bought this about 6 weeks ago and am very glad I did. Was looking at a Echo but this was a lot less expensive. I have a large yard with tons of leaves that had packed down and were wet. This blower moved them with no trouble at all. It is very comfortable and does not wear you out like the hand held units. I am in my 60s and am always looking for a easier way to get the work done and this was well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Blower! I've purchased blowers in the past but this was my first Ryobi and I am really impressed with it. It's comfortable to wear and not real heavy (my wife uses it all the time) and the power that it has is significantly noticeable compared to ones that I used to own. This is a great product with an affordable price. I highly recommend it. Ryobi is now the only brand that I will continue to purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful & easy to use; leaves have no chance! Bought a month ago and have been extremely pleased with its performance after multiple users. Have heavy amounts of leaves in our yard due to lots of surrounding hardwoods, but the blower has handled them with ease. Minimal assembly and quick start right out of the box has turned what used to be a drudge into a fast and fun outdoor activity. Should have thrown my electric blower away years ago!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight yet powerful I have just received this and have only used once but love it! I am 5'1 and my husbands backpack blower was too heavy for me to use so I was stuck using an electric one. Because we have a large yard I was only able to reach a small area. The Ryobi is so light weight and easy to start! I had a blast blowing leaves which use to be a dreaded chore! I would definitely recommend this blower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far Very Reliable. . . I bought my Ryobi backpack blower about a month ago. Used it five times now, for several hours each time moving many leaves and small branches that pile up in my yard and all around the house this time of year having a large wooded area right behind my home. I have had no problems with it at all. Great for home use. I've been Very satisfied with My Ryobi Backpack Blower purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this blower! I got this blower for Christmas from Mrs. Claus. It is so light and powerful. I added a strap to hold the wire harness to the throttle handle to streamline the blower arm. I blow my one acre yard, sidewalks, decks, and driveway in less than half an hour on half a tank. Thanks for the great recommendation from The Home Depot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and compact I bought this about 3 or 4 weeks ago and put it to the test right away. Worked great. I will say that once I learned how to use it. It has a short starter cord so you can't pull a long stroke like a lawn mower. Once I learned how to run it it worked great. You know how many leaves are on a 30 foot oak tree?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tool We were originally looking for a handheld blower but decided on a backpack model for a few bucks more, boy are are we glad we did! This blower is light, powerful, and well balanced. It is fit for even commercial landscape use, and made quick work out of a mountain of leaves, even in the gutters.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Junk I echo several reviewers who say "great for one season". Terrific when I bought it, Now, the following year after properly storing it, it will NOT start. On Line repair pages say you're better off buying a new one, a different brand. Looks like I'm out almosy $200 for this. Very DISAPPOINTED.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works like a charm This unit starts easily and handles well. Lots of air flow gets the debris moving and I like the speed lock. The ring securing the hose to the housing is not strong enough and broke quickly, so I replaced it with a stainless steel clamp and all is well again. I like the anti-vibration mount too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful but easy to use. This is precisely what I needed--we have a large yard with a lot of very prolific trees, and we needed something to be able to deal with the efficiently. We went with the backpack feature to reduce strain, and I'm convinced it was the right decision. A great purchase and highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strong blower. Great power. Purchased fall of 2015. Head gasket failure after approx. 30 service hours in spring of 2016 caused engine seizure. Replaced easily and with out hassle or fuss under Ryobi 3yr warranty at local Madle's ACE Hardware a authorized Ryobi service center. Great service. Seemingly flawless work.

I am able to put it on my back by myself without help and it worked great. the cruise lets u do the flower beds without blowing away all did what others did at half the cost plus it s 6 to 8 lbs. lighter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Blower and price I bought this blower a couple of months ago and really like it. It has been easy to start and works well. I have a large lot with many trees so keeping leaves at bay is almost a full time job. It is much easier now with this blower. It is comfortable to wear and easy to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good choice for backpack blower I purchased this blower a month ago and I'm happy I did. The price was extremely fair. I've used this blower many times since I have a large piece of property. The blower is lightweight, comfortable to wear, starts every time. and has a lot of power. I made the right choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Bought this blower as a back-up blower and it works so great that it is now used as my primary blower. Weight is not heavy and blower itself is very easy to handle. Works so great that my wife likes using it and it is easy for her to start. Thanks RYOBI !!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Occasionally hard to start Nice blower. Gets the job done. So nice not lugging the electric cord along. Occasionally is very hard to start, .... just keep trying. I'm a small frame; straps don't tighten enough to securely wear. This makes it awkward to use. Overall a good purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was second unit. First had difficulty maintaining adjustment and thus difficult to start. Home Depot and one independent repair facility could not fix even with new carb. Had replaced and have used only pre mixed girl and it has worked flawlessly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from moves acorns I bought this blower because I have had enough of raking time and time again. It does an excellent job and I am happy with the machine. I have a lot of oak trees and this year there has been a bumper crop of acorns and the blower moves them easily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult to start I bought the backpack blower and I am a bit disappointed. When it's cold it starts right up but once you turn it off and try to restart it is very difficult. It seems like once it is warmed up it needs to cool down again before restarting.
