Rated 5 out of 5 by LesShort from Really light and easy to use - yet powerful! I needed something that would tackle some medium to large(ish) branches and some logs for firewood. I didn't appreciate how good this little beast would be! Light, easy to maneuver, safe, and very tough. I did a bunch of yard work and never ran the 4A battery down. Oil was easy to add, sharpening the blades is always a chore, but haven't needed to do that yet. Another reviewer wrote that they picked this up to do something, but would not have bothered if it was a gas unit. I agree, I actually use it in places where my (Ryobi) hedge trimmer might struggle - I try not to do anything risky, or use it on a ladder (at my age "ladder" is a dirty word). I highly recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TV Steve from New favorite tool I perform over 500 hours a year maintenance and construction of Mountain bike trails and this is one of the best portable tools for the job. Light, well balanced, and powerful. Light years ahead of the old 10" and far better designed than the 40 volt version with a gearbox drive, auto oiler, toolless chain adjust, and brushless motor. It excels in difficult positions. (ground level and shoulder height) Packable, powerful, and quiet, meet our trail repair requirements. More powerful than my first gas saw. Too bad it's not available at the local Home Depot. (only online)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ojai from Works really great !!! I been using this for a few weekends now, about 2 hours at a time, I am having a problem with the chain tensioner, It will not push the guide bar out far enough to tighten the chain anymore.. So the chain keeps coming off. Not happy, I have own a lot of chain saws. This tensioner doesn't push the bar out far enough. I took it apart and checked it out, It still has a 1/2 inch to move but a stop in the adjuster will not let it move anymore. Chain is like new and very sharp.. Ryobi needs to research the tensioner some. I am sure others will have this problem soon. If it was the old stile it would tighten up just fine...

Rated 5 out of 5 by Musicalslapshot from This is a fantastic little chainsaw. Its not going to fall a red wood, but as a homeowner I don't need to. With all of the storms this winter, there were a lot of large limbs that had fallen on my property. Including a tree that had blown over onto the back of my house. This saw was able to process it all without a sweat. I would typically be able to work for half hour to 45 minutes on a 4aH battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by russd from Perfect tool for what I need! This chainsaw is the perfect size for doing small jobs like trimming and yet can handle larger jobs like cutting down trees! I bought this because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of mixing gas and oil when I only need a chainsaw occasionally. I was pleased to find it made short work of the tree I needed to take down before it fell on my house. 5 stars, definitely would recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by JimZa from Works above expitations Being that my shoulder canot continue to pull start 2 cycle tools, I purchased a Ryobi string trimmer a few years ago. The trimmer worked well so it was followed by a Ryoby blower. Since some trees had to be cleared, I with some hesitation ordered a P548 chain saw. The saw has preformed above expitations it cut through 10 inch Oak logs with no problem. The following day on one battery I cut down and trimmed the branches on 7 Cedar trees that were 1 1/2 to 3 inches. The saw has plenty of power and the 18 volt battery life is above expitations. I have no hesitations in recomending these products, they preform as well as the 2 cycle gas products

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cranpa from This is absolutely perfect for me. I’m 65 and the saw is light. The safety makes sure that I have to hold it so I don’t mistakenly cut anything unintentionally. I don’t have to yank on a rope to get it started. BUT the best thing for me is I’m not sucking in smoke and gas fumes. Also I already had 6 18v batteries for all my other ryobi cordless tools. Next month a cordless trimmer/edger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jrokmac from Tuff as nails I reviewed every battery operated chainsaw on the market and I made the right decision. 40V batteries cost too much and the power is no different.
