  • We know that scroll saw projects with this much detail take quite a bit of time. Beautiful work! Are they all unique, or did you create multiples of the different designs?

    • While there are a few that are similar, each is a one of a kind for me.  A lot of the patterns did not even come from woodworking plans, a few even were just a picture that I turned into plans. Finding all the snowflakes was all part of the fun.  If you go to my Pinterest you will find many of the patterns I used. #TheWeekendWoodworker

    • Thank you very much, always enjoy coming up with projects to do for the Ryobi contest, but these were really something I did for my wife and myself.  Already started my Christmas project for next year! :)

  • Nicely done! It's incredible how much money you can save by building your own furniture, and then you end up with a sturdy, unique piece that will last for years to come. Great work!

  • Wow, incredible job! This will be such a great space for entertaining. Did you have any prior experience building decks?

  • Fantastic work! Looks like you've been busy building the back deck as well! How long did the whole project take you to complete?

    • Many Thanx.

Yep,. the Boss had Me go to town front and back, [headed back Monday after away for a few weeks on another flipper, to do the final base moldings, so He can put it on the market [Seasonal thing]  I'll see it for the first times since it's been painted and flooring's gone in.  Maybe I'll send a couple pics,. the Fire Place trim came out really nice [for what it is,. a Mobile Home.]  Currently on an actual Home gutting/remodel job.  More to My liking.  better built base structure [canvas] to start with.

[My Boss owns a Flooring Company,. and invests in properties to flip on the side,. I'm His Carpenter in that capacity]

It was done on an off and on time frame,. as some days I was needed elsewhere,. as well as some days being a wash, or partial days,. the actual numbers I couldn't say.  But some days I had 1 helper,. and some I didn't have any help... but all in all,. probably 16-18 hours front,.. and 24-30 rear.

But I don't work long days anymore,. My hips are shot from a  2 story fall to concrete and resulting compression fracture.  Lucky to be walking quite frankly.   I usually do 6-7 hour days anymore.  but 5-8's is My [pushing it] comfortable limit... and 2 days down,. allow Me 5 more w/o much issue.  But when I push 6 day weeks [Like I did this week so I could get the Brushless Cordless 10" Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw] >;-)  I tend to start out Monday's feeling like I'm in a deficit where resting up is concerned LOL

Thanx again for the kind comments.  ;)

    • Thanx!  Love building Decks ;-)   I'm in My "State of Zennnnnnnn" [lol] When I'm building Decks lol  Time just seems to fly by though [sometimes a bit too quickly for My liking in retrospect. lol ]

    • I couldn't agree more, sometimes there just isn't enough hours in the day....
