  • Awesome craftsmanship on these! They look flawless! What was your favorite part of making these?
By RYOBI NATION, on May 1, 2018
    • I really enjoyed seeing the oak transform from what looked like wood destined for a burn pile to beautiful tabletops. Most of all I enjoyed seeing the excitement and smiles when we delivered them to their new home.

  • Excellent work,  they look great.

  • Beautiful build! We like the detail and the thickness of the legs. Did you modify the plans from Shanty 2 Chic at all?
By RYOBI NATION, on May 1, 2018
    • Thank you!! I modified the length of the table by adding 5 inches to the table top and runners. I also used base cap moulding and attached it on top of the base moulding. Those were my only modifications to the plans.

    • Cool! It's nice you were able to customize it to the size you needed.

  • This turned out awesome! Very nicely done!

  •  Looks great. I really like your choice of finish.
    By grover959, on May 4, 2018
    • Thank you so much.  We used black chalk paint and Briarsmoke stain.

  • What a great idea to add the command center! It looks so nice! Where is this displayed in your home?
By RYOBI NATION, on May 1, 2018
    • It hangs between our kitchen and family room.  We are a family of five and everyone uses the hooks to hang their keys.

  • This is so nice! We are impressed with this couch! We would love to see a picture of it stained, too!

  • Very nicely done! It looks awesome! Was the cement already in place or did you lay that too?
By RYOBI NATION, on May 1, 2018

  • I appreciate that! The cement patio was pre-existing. The stone pavers I placed to help the back yard, but it still just didn't quite make it feel like I wanted to be back there! I can't wait to add giant planters and benches!  I'll be sure to post those soon too. Thank you again.
By BRIMMERMJ, on May 1, 2018

  • I wanted add the lumber I used in case there is any curiosity. I used 22-2x6x8', 2-2x6x24' for stringers and frame, and 78-2x4x8' for the decking, and 1-4x4x6.
By BRIMMERMJ, on May 1, 2018

  • It looks perfect! Great job!
By _Stephanie_, on May 7, 2018
    • Thank you _Stephanie_. I did stain it as well, but there is no way to just simply add a picture to my post. Which would be a great idea for RYOBI Nation to do. It's a nice rustic gray look. And now we have a lot of plants around the corners. I'm happy it got done so early, before the good Summer weather.
By BRIMMERMJ, on May 8, 2018
    • Noted, @BRIMMERMJ ! We will work on an easier way to add a photo to your posted project. You currently have to edit it back in draft mode to update the post. Thanks for the suggestion! Can't wait to see the finish!

  • Nice build! We like the design of the wood slats! Is this your first time building a swing?
By RYOBI NATION, on May 1, 2018
    • Thanks so much! Not my first swing, but the first swing of this design. Every other swing i built  looked like every other swing out there. I wanted to do something different
