  • What a cool idea! This really does look like brick! The mortar application looks really neat too- very shabby-chic! Did you screw the pallet boards to the wall before applying the mortar?

  • This looks beautiful! Very professional. Is it made entirely of pallet wood?
By RYOBI Nation, on August 17, 2016
    • Yup, and has been donated to a family that was a victim of the louisiana flooding.

  • Beautiful work and a great way to use your skills to give back to people who need it. Thank you for sharing!

  • Another awesome update to your kitchen! This looks great, and you picked the perfect satin color, too. Good call on painting the oven fan housing too! What did you use to paint that portion?

  • Awesome idea! Simple, fun and functional. Smart idea to attach it to the existing playground equipment too. Did you have to do anything to the wood by way of treatment?

  • Congratulations on an amazing finished product! You have real talent for woodworking. This is definitely one of the most complex small-scale projects we've seen on RYOBI Nation. How long did it ultimately take you to create this beautiful piece?
By RYOBI Nation, on August 12, 2016
    • I would say close to 160 hours. It was a lot of trial and error when it came to cutting such small pieces on the band saw.

  • Another awesome idea for a pallet! Did you use a special finish on this one? It looks slightly glossy- very nice!

  • These are so festive! You did a great job on these- it's not surprising you had a lot of orders come it. These would make great indoor or outdoor holiday decorations.

  • What a terrific idea! It looks like your kiddo is really having a blast on this fun project. Thanks for sharing the in-process pictures, too. The design looks simple, but it also looks like it needed to be very precise. Did you use pre-made plans or did you make it from scratch?

    • I'm so excited to see this! I had forgotten that I wanted to make something like this for the kids! This is going on my list! :)
