  • I love your design! How did you affix your shelving? Steve
By peteyparty, on February 18, 2014

  • My wife wants to know what you're using for wheels.
By peteyparty, on February 18, 2014

  • Steve, the shelves are glued and nailed with a 15 gauge finish nailer. I used 1 1/2 inch casters. Andrew

  • You did a great job despite your minimal experience in building furniture. Where did you get your plans from? I'd love to know because I love this cabinet. What are the safety features? I'd love to know more about how to build this. Again, great job!
By peteyparty, on February 17, 2014

  • Thanks Petey...I saw the plan in an issue of Family handyman magazine...link is here... http://www.familyhandyman.com/woodworking/projects/diy-tv-stand/view-all Fairly simple to build, I am going to add a cable to the wall to connect the TV, so my kids dont tip it over on top of themselves. Let me know if any more questions...Good luck!! Chris

  • Thanks Crandreww. Really pretty cabinet! Show us if you stain it.
By peteyparty, on February 18, 2014

  • Will do....I am planning on staining it. just reading up to decide what to do...thinking stain, followed by a few coats of Wipe on poly...any thoughts?
By crandreww, on February 18, 2014

  • What kind of wood? My wife is the stain guru so I'll ask her.
By peteyparty, on February 18, 2014

  • The plan uses oak, I preferred Maple, so it is Maple...
