Another Shanty2Chic project, with a little tweak at the base design: raise up the stretcher and add little decorative piece to make it look like the stretcher is going all the way through. I stained the table top with custom stain mix and finished with a little dry-brushed antique white stain. As for the base, I first stained the whole thing with a dark base color, couple layers of thin shellac to prevent bleeding through, then used school white glue as crackle medium, finally sprayed country cream chalk paint on and watched the magic happening almost instantly -- crackling!! Distressed them a bit, then clear top coat to finish.

The actual building process didn't take too long, but the staining + sanding + painting took longest time especially when you are dealing with over 90% humidity, everything takes forever to dry. However, the outcome is definitely worth it!
