We're remodeling our bonus room to have a more industrial shabby chic style - pipe bookshelf, pallet, wall, and distressed media console. The side-tables did not match this style, so I decided to make some. My wife and I found some tables online made with iron pipe that were very cool. I sketched out plans based on what we needed, purchased the piping and prepared all my materials. The reclaimed wood was a little difficult to work with, but with the table saw, I was able to rip them into 2" wide boards. I then glued the boards together and nailed supports underneath. I cleaned the piping, assembled the base and then sprayed it with a clear matte paint - to seal it but still show the character of the piping. After assembly, we posted it to social media and everyone LOVES it.
