Winter is coming, it would be great to spend some time on comfortable couch on front of new fireplace. Of course mental is not enough for me so I need some bookshelf, for family pics.
I have step by step guide on pics how to. Natural gas Fireplace box is install by company also Granit. Box if framed and cover with drywall. All wires lo voltage (hdmi, speakers etc) and hi voltage to power equipmetnts. (receivers, amplifires etc);
I start witch pre-cut bottom cabinets material and assemble it using 16ga nailgun. Next step is install them. Precut countertop scribe to wall send and router with my favorite bit (showing on one of my pic). Top ones have back, - I don't need them so deep. Minimalistic style will match to rest of trim in room. I like as many straight edges as it is possible. Back to project I was working on mental and legs of fireplace. (all fireplace wood is FJ pine primed). Next little bit of trim to décor (small peace is regular door stop crown on top and same slip on top to hide joints. On the bottom furniture base to keep doors flush. Finished cabinet need hardware (handle and hinges). That's it. Time for apple cedar on front of new fireplace.

  • Great Job! I built a mantle about a month ago, and wish I had the wall space that you have to build the rest of the cabinets that you did. I am going to go with some stone on the wall that surrounds mine in the near future, but I just wanted to compliment you on your project. Looks fantastic...
