I needed a simple and cheap solution for all the spare lumber on my garage floor. This floor clutter issue was taking up precious space in my small garage workshop. Every diy wall mounted lumber rack plans/designs I found online would either end up taking too much time to build or cost too much money. So I decided to build a wall mounted lumber rack out of one 2 in. x 4 in. x 10 ft. piece of wood. I used 2-1/2 inch screws and wood glue on each lumber rack assembly and 4 inch screws to mount into the wall studs. I reinforced the 45 degree mitered joints on each lumber rack assembly. One 2 in. x 4 in x 10 ft. can make three wall lumber rack hook assemblies. Total project time took three hours, that’s including the time it took to mount and level onto the wall.
