Our house had a two foot wide walkway blocked by some enormous bushes. After tearing out five of the bushes and digging through the rocky soil, I found out that each step in laying a brick paver walkway was more physically taxing than the previous one. Although laying a walkway may not seem to need the use of many power tools (other than my semi-brute strength), I did use a couple. Obviously the wet saw with all those curves and the other was a reciprocal saw. Stick the saw blade through a couple grocery bags to protect the saw from dirt and you've got a mean tree root cutter.
