Twin Pallet Headboard

My son had outgrown his toddler bed and about the same time I had started making some rustic signs using pallets, so I thought I would try my hand at doing a pallet headboard. So i asked my son if he wanted Daddy to make him a bed, when he said yes with excitement I was ready to get started. I selected pallet boards that had the look i wanted, cleaned and sanded them. Then I made a few measurements of my daughters twin bed and used them to make a rough drawing. them cut all my pieces and assembled the headboard. My wife and I were both surprised at how well it came out and anytime people see it, they say "You made that" which always makes me feel good that i was able to make something for my family that they are able to use and that looks good too. This project brought to life something inside of me that has me wanting to build more and more things, for the joy that it brings both to me and my family.
