Toy Box

My mom wanted a toy box made for all of the grandkids but it needed to be a specific size for the space she had. I decided instead of just using plywood for the sides and top, I'd use 1x6 boards. They gave it a different texture and depth. Since it was for little kids, I did not want any screw heads or hardware visible to deter from catching on while reaching in. So I used a pocket hole jig and attached all of the boards that way. She also wanted the lid to be able to remove completely so no hinges. I still wanted to make sure that it would not slide off. I attached 1x1 on the bottom of the lid to prevent that. I also used pocket holes on the base to attach the plywood.
