I have 3 year old twins. They don't have their own room yet, so I decided they needed their own beds at least. I searched online for good bunk beds that won't take up too much space, but didn't find any that I liked that were a decent price. In the end, I decided I would have to make them their own beds. I wanted something sturdy and inexpensive. I used pallet wood, old wood from our childhood bunk beds my parents had outside that would have rotted anyway, and two 2x4s my dad had left over from another project. Everything came out wonderful. My twins love their beds! I'm happy my husband and I finally have space in our bed. And I am happy that I was able to do this for my kids. I think I did a good job for my first time making beds. :)
