I had a tiny master bath, with only the toilet and standing shower enclosed. Sink was open to the bedroom. We wanted to open it up into one room and have a door closing it off from the bedroom. I gutted down to the studs, removed the wall where the door was, and framed the new door up. Put in cement board and tiled with slate-look porcelain tiles. We used a wall insert to hold shampoo, and we went with a glass shower enclosure so that the bathroom looks bigger. After that, new faucets, vanity, toilet, and the bathroom is brand new!
