I started out with a plan to build a bar in the theatre room but it became so much more. In my vision I could see a place for bar essentials but in an entertainment room I wanted more than just a bar. My idea was to include a refrigerator for snacks and soft drinks, a separate freezer for icecream and frozen fruits for mixed exotic drinks, a wine cooler able to hold my favorite wines and Champaign's and space for video and audio equipment. All of this to fit under a 75" TV and projector screen. The length of the bar is 10', x 30". We used 3/4 x8 decorative wood panels and constructed a 10' hollow box. To keep the beauty and idea of the bar we constructed six sliding doors using closet door wheel Assembly. in order to access the refrigerator, the wine cooler and the Av components. For the freezer, we built a hatch that opens up and to the right above the freezer since that is the way this freezer opens. We were able to access the electrical outlets necessary to run all the lcomponents. We stained the finished project with a poly urethane o based stain. After completion we owere able to sit back with a glass of bubbly in one hand a bowl of popcorn, a hotdog and watch our favorite movies " THIS OLD HOUSE" and HOME IMPROVEMENT " LOL..
