There was this little spot of flat ground up in the mountains of Georgia along the drive to the house. It needed something, but what? After searching and looking and google-ing, it was decided. The swinging pergola plan was put into action. After purchasing the materials, we started our day by digging holes for the posts. The hard part? Dealing with solid rock... it is the mountains! But with persistence, we were soon screwing the last couple of boards to the top. The next day it was hanging swings, spreading mulch, and prettying everything up. A little fence work, some pavers here and there, and it was a piece of art! Not only is it nice to look at, it's fun to swing on. Looking back, the only thing we might have changed was to do it sooner!
