Storage Closet

We have a very small house with limited storage and closet space. I turned and old closet into an airy storage closet for garments as well as misc storage items. First I measured the room many times and made a dimensioned drawing to make the units. I cut the wood in the garage using my Ryobi miter saw, drill press and cordless drill. I made the units modular so I could move them in the room after I redid the sheet rock, ceiling and flooring. The dimensions were so exact that I actually had to disassemble the units and reassemble so that everything could be moved into place without being damaged. I saved the plans that I made so that I could help my friends make storage rooms too. I used pine and cedar and sanded everything with my Ryobi Orbital sander. I cut the wood in one inch by one inch strips on the shelving to make sure everything was lite and would allow air flow.

  • Looks like there's room for long clothes, short clothes, shelves for bulky items as well as smaller items.
