Decided to make a step stool for my daughter so that she could wash her hands. After looking at several plans including one from Ana white I decided to make a simple design with two steps. The project was easy over all I just used 1x12 for the sides and 1x4 for the steps with a 1x3 for the front. I used a pocket hole jig for the first time which turned out to be amazing and very strong. I found that I need to use a straight edge when cutting for clean straighter cuts. For a finish I used some yellow paint that I had and a red oak minwax stain and a gloss poly finish. The finish turned out to be the longest part.
