Stairway

I pulled off the carpet of stairs planning to replace with new carpet but when I saw how nasty the carpet was I just couldn't do it. So I sanded down the existing yellow pine and stained it. The toughest part was there were gaps at the end of each tread and riser that I had to fill. I used spray foam to shims depending how large the gaps were. Most fun part was personalizing it. It was not difficult project but I had never refinish steps so there was a learning curve. Lot of our guests have remarked that this is their favorite part of our home.
