My wife was looking for a spice rack for her kitchen she wanted something rustic and everything she found was either to small or way to expensive. We are residing our house and i had a few pieces of pecky cypress plus some cypress trim boards. I knew she wanted to use different size bottles and tins so I prepped the boards and measured the space we were hanging it. I used a limb from a tree i cut down last year as well as gutter guard for the front of the shelfs. All the lumber is reclaimed from our house and the shelf is almost 6ft wide by almost 3 ft tall. It is now the focal point in her kitchen and has gotten a lot of compliments from friends and family
PECKY CYPRESS, CYPRESS TRIM BOARDS, CEDAR BOARDS, TREE LIMB, YARDSTICKS FOR SHELF FRONTS
It certainly deserves a lot of praise! This is a great idea, and very well executed. It doesn't look like it takes up a ton of space either- so folks without a lot of pantry space could really use something like this. The limb gutter guard is a really nice touch! What did you use to perform that rip cut?
