Solid Oak Sleigh Crib
I built this sleigh style crib out of sold oak for my latest grandson. It has fixed sides and the mattress adjusts up and down to accommodate the baby's growth and activity level. I also made the additional parts to allow the crib to be converted to a toddler bed (second picture) when my grandson gets big enough to move out of a crib. All parts were made by hand. I used my 3 Ryobi cordless drills, my Ryobi biscuit joiner, my Ryobi sanders, and my Ryobi trim router along with my cabinet saw and bandsaw to make the parts, assemble it, and prep it for staining and finish. It is stained with a red maple stain and finished with 4 hand-rubbed coats of tung oil.
