I like to cure and smoke meat, as well as make sausage and smoke cheese. I have been using a small box style smoker, but was only able to do 15 lbs of sausage at a time, so I decided to build a smokehouse. I am guessing I can do between 50-100 lbs at once now. I used some basic plans I found on the internet, but then tweaked them for my needs. This project ended up coming in way over budget, and also way over in estimated man hours, but was a load of fun. It is also the most rewarding project to date. It is made from Red Oak and Spruce. The finish is 2 coats of Waterlox sealer and 2 coats of Waterlox finish.
