When we purchased our home, it was outfitted with a beautiful vintage stove with two ovens that was built into the cabinetry of the kitchen. At the age of 50, parts were no longer available for the stove, and we had to admit that it was time to put her to rest. Upon buying and installing a new stove, we were left with a 12" space between the stove and wall, which was just begging to be used for storage! Our solution was to build a 12" wide rolling cart with 3 shelves to store utensils, cutting boards and cookie sheets next to the cooking surface.
