Slate Dresser

After countlessly searching for something that did not exist, I decided to build a dresser instead of buying one. I am very particular with style and I HATE particleboard. I like furniture to last and stand the abuses of life. I love how natural stone (especially slate) and wood look together. I began searching for a slate topped dresser and could find no such thing. Then the ryobi gears began turning in my head. I wanted something simple, sturdy, visually appealing, made of solid wood and slate, and without drawer knobs. Behold what me and ryobi accomplished.

  • Beautiful craftsmanship on this piece. The slate and the good really do look great together. The cubby-style drawers are really neat. Did you come up this design yourself?

  • I mostly came up with the design based off of pictures I found online.
