I needed to move from a cheap folding table to a real desk, but without a TON of work. I bought two 8' birch butcherblock countertops on sale, cut one down to 7', then built the leg structure from pre-threaded pipe lengths. Desk top is attached with flanges and screwes. I picked up some desk mounts to get monitors all at the same level and keep the desk cleared, and used a LOT of zip ties for wire management. Still not done with that obviously. All in all, a very easy build anyone can do.
