As its getting closer to christmas, I thought of an modern advent wreath (nearly everybody has this here in Germany) that I can use throughout the year as a normal candle holder.

I used 4 chips cans (20, 16, 12, 8cm) as a shape and filled it with concrete. With the holesaw, I cut tealight templates and used tape so I will get them easily out of the concrete. After 24 hours of drying, I removed the shape an flattened the top with my sander and 120 grid sandpaper.

I really liked how this turned out. It just looks simple and modern and with some fir-tree green this will be a great (but easy) maker- advent wreath.

I hope you liked it.
Julian

  • Awesome idea! A rustic, modern take on an age old tradition. Thanks for sharing the process pictures too. It's always fun to see the project from start to finish.
