Shanty Bunny Hutch

My 13-year old daughter worked really hard pet sitting and saved up her money to get a pet bunny. The spot we had in the house for a bunny hutch was very specific in size, and we could not find anything to purchase that would fit there. So...I offered to modify some plans to build a hutch for her. I found plans for a shanty-2-chic farmhouse console cabinet, and with a few adjustments, it became the perfect bunny hutch. We took a family trip to Home Depot, on Easter Sunday afternoon, and my daughter purchased all the lumber, hardware, stain, and supplies for the project. When we started working on building the hutch, I taught her how to use my Ryobi drill to make pocket holes, and she picked it up right away! The project came together quickly, and one week later, we brought home an adorable little bunny to live in the new shanty bunny hutch...although, it's actually more of a bunny "palace", which works perfectly because his name is "Charming".
