I recently went to a little form in Georgia where they were tearing down an old farmhouse church. This church was beautiful but had not been used in years and was dilapidated. Fortunately, there were several of us that were able to salvage some of the pieces from the church. One of the pieces I did manage to find were these old tin shingles. There is not a tremendous amount that you can do it with them but I was determined to make something beautiful out of these rusty old pieces. Finally, it dawned on me that they would look beautiful framed. So I went out to my workshop and began customizing a frame to fit these pieces. Years of rust had built up on each tiny piece so each shingle had to be cleaned thoroughly as they were very worn as seen in the picture ☝️! I love the finished product and think they came out well. I own a little shop & have begun selling these & they are selling like hot cakes. The picture you see is one that I will be keeping at my house. These are super special as I handpick them myself and chose these because I felt like this was a good way to honor that little church & save a little piece of history.
