Rustic Farmhouse Table

My first ever project was a farmhouse table. My wife didn't think I could do it until she walked into the garage and actually saw it was going to happen. Then she was all about it, talking about how stain colors, how it would look, how many people it would hold. I liked seeing her excitement so I decided to make a matching coffee table. I had the design in my head and Googled for build tips (Ana White's site helped a lot) and finally finished this number after about a week (most time spent staining and finishing). It was somewhat challenging as I had never attempted 45 degree miter cuts before and messed up more than one cut on this project. I love how it turned out though and my wife was thrilled again. And with four coats of poly we'll never need a coaster! I've been asked by several people to make them the same table so I may be very busy coming up!
