I made this rustic candle holder as a centerpiece for a family occasion. I used a series of 1x6 boards and cut them to dimension and layered them. Using a hole saw, I cut four one inch holes on to the top board for the placement of the candles. I used an orbital sander prior to the staining and then used the same sander to distress the dried stain to give this product it's rustic look!
Overall, this was a very affordable project. The wood cost me 8 dollars and candles cost me 4 dollars.
This project took me 8 hours, mainly because I'm new to wood working and still figuring out the projects.
