Rustic Benches

  • November 8, 2017

I designed these benches for a friend who had just gotten a new dining table- he wanted them to coordinate with his table yet still have some rustic, Wyoming flair. I love incorporating old barn wood from our ranch- so I used some for the tops, and made the bases from 2x4s and some scrap 4x4. I used Dark Walnut on the bases, and a coat of triple thick poly after a little distressing with my corner cat. The hardest part was seeing them go! I put a little bit of my heart into everything I build, but I love how happy his family is with the benches!

  • Solid build! The dark base with the lighter top is awesome.
